About Grounded Growth

Real support for real family life.

For over 25 years, I have worked closely with children and families in roles including nanny, Early Childhood Educator, Assistant Director of a private preschool, and Child Development Specialist/Developmental Interventionist. Throughout my career, one thing has always remained true: there is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting or child development.

I’m also a mother of three children, each with completely different personalities, strengths, and needs. Parenting taught me quickly that what works for one child may not work for another, especially as children grow and family dynamics evolve.

My son’s journey especially shaped the heart behind Grounded Growth. From the time he was a baby, he showed signs of intense anxiety, though at the time it wasn’t fully understood. As a toddler and preschooler, everyday situations that seemed small to others — a broken granola bar, the feeling of a sock seam, difficulty making a choice — could lead to overwhelming emotional outbursts. As he grew older, those anxieties often appeared as anger and rage.

Like many parents navigating challenging behaviors, my husband and I experienced frustration, exhaustion, disagreements, and trial and error as we worked to better understand what our son — and our family as a whole — needed. He began therapy at age eight and was formally diagnosed at age ten.

That experience changed the way I viewed parenting support forever.

What I realized, both professionally and personally, is that parenting exists in the gray areas. Families are balancing work schedules, school demands, emotional stress, routines, and the unpredictability of everyday life. Strategies that look good on paper do not always fit within real family dynamics.

That is why I created Grounded Growth Family Coaching.

My approach is individualized, collaborative, and practical. I take time to understand the full picture before helping families build small, purposeful steps toward calmer homes, stronger connections, emotional stability, and lasting growth.

At Grounded Growth, the goal is not perfection — it is helping families feel supported, understood, and empowered with tools that truly work for their everyday lives.

My Mission

At Grounded Growth, my mission is to walk alongside overwhelmed parents as they navigate the complex realities of raising young children with behavioral or emotional challenges. With over 25 years of experience, and as a mother who has felt the exhaustion and isolation myself, I help families create calmer, more connected homes. Through flexible, individualized coaching that considers the full family dynamic, I empower parents with tools, strategies, and confidence that grow lasting change from the inside out.

For more than 20 years, I worked in the field of Early Childhood Education as both a teacher and Assistant Director within private preschool settings. Throughout those years, I supported children across a wide range of developmental stages, learning styles, emotional needs, and personalities while also partnering closely with families and educators to create supportive, structured learning environments.

As an Assistant Director, my work focused heavily on classroom management, social and emotional development, curriculum implementation, teacher support, and developing individualized strategies to support children experiencing emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges within the school setting.

For the past four years, I have worked as a Child Development Specialist and Developmental Interventionist through Early Intervention, supporting infants, toddlers, and their families through individualized developmental services. In this role, I work closely with parents to help children reach developmental goals while also providing guidance, advocacy, education, and practical strategies that can be realistically integrated into everyday family life.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies with a focus in Child Development, and my professional experience — combined with my personal experience as a parent — continues to shape the individualized, practical, and relationship-centered approach I bring to every family I support.
